CARBON CUTTERS IN TALKS WITH THE HEADTEACHER

Two members of the Carbon Cutters environmental group (Alex Watson and Joe Winterton) dicussed a range of environmental issues with the Headteacher on Monday 17th December. Both pupils felt that the meeting was a real success with Mr Davies pledging his support for a cleaner, greener and more environmentally aware school.



GEOGRAPHY ACTION WEEK

Geography Action Week took place
between the 12th and the 16th of
November. This years theme was
'China'. All pupils took part in a
form quiz. Many pupils entered
the 'Images of China' competition.
Short films were shown during
lunchtimes and pupils sampled
traditional chineese food.
LEISURE AND TOURISM VISIT

All Yr11 Leisure and Tourism students spent the day at @Bristol, an interactive science museum. The aim of the visit was to investigate Customer Service techniques.
Students took part in a Customer Service Workshop and they then took time to research a variety of customer service methods at @Bristol.
The day was a great success and all students benefitted greatly.

AS GEOGRAPHY FIELDWORK


All AS Geographers recently took

part in some local fieldwork

research. Pupils examined the river

Lemon and it's flood defence systems.

All pupils enjoyed the day out and

developed a valuable case study.
THE CARBON CUTTERS


The Carbon Cutters Environmental Group is made up of a group of committed Yr10 and Yr11 Environmentalists. The group meet on a weekly basis and are working towards developing a more green and sustainable school environment.

The group have held meetings with the Head Teacher, The School Council and outside agencies. Keep up the good work!!


GCSE GEOGRAPHY FIELDWORK!!


Onthe 8th of October 2007 all Yr11
Geographers visited Dawlish Warren
to complete fieldwork activities and
to collect data for thier GCSE projects.
The day was a real success with lots of
activity, fun and data!!
